Character Name: Ginia Rosentia/The Dragonborn
Character DW:
killervocabulary
Character Canon: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Character's Personality Outline: Ginia has two big ideals - humility and altruism. Even in finding out that she's the Dragonborn, she will always think of herself as merely a blacksmith. It's a great honor to have the destiny that comes with being the Dragonborn, but she does not wish for it to go to her head. One can't exercise great power properly if your mind is clouded by it. This is rooted in simple observations growing up - nobody liked braggarts, nor took them seriously about whatever they bragged about. She also doesn't feel that a person's race makes them better or worse than anyone else - though this is laced with some bitterness, thanks to the Thalmor's oppressive nature in her homeland. (She does know there are good elves out there - and they'll get her respect.) The altruism comes from feeling that if someone needs assistance in something that you know how to do/are capable of doing, you should do what you can to help them. This is rooted in her living in a moderately small city most of her life - you need something done that you can't do, you go find someone who can to help you. Common decency in her mind.
She's also a bit wary. Not quite jumpy, but wary of new people she meets. You never know if the person you meet on the road is just a fellow traveler or a bandit. Wild creatures are also a threat, so keeping on-guard is something she practices in general. (Especially when one of those things could wind up being a hostile dragon.) This has spurred her to be better at talking - namely, getting points across to people that are otherwise not willing to listen. If she can talk her way out of something rather than expend energy fighting that could be used in more constructive ways, she will attempt it. She's also not above a bit of flirting to tip the scale in her favor, should the need arise.
Ginia is also a packrat. Things that look useful, she'll hoard them, wanting to be prepared for most any situation. Weapons, food, trinkets, potions, poisons - anything that has a potential use - even if that use is just to sell for a few coins, that's still a use, and it gets her more money for smithing materials. She's also fairly open-minded, especially compared to the Nords native to Skyrim - many of them are quite adverse to the use of magic, or even enchanted weapons, but she's quite open to their use.
Character's History/Background: A number of Skyrim spoilers follow for the main quest and the Companions' questline.
Ginia is an Imperial, a native of Cyrodiil, the country to the south of Skyrim. She spent a majority of her life in Bruma, a northern city in Cyrodiil inhabited primarily by the Nords, people native to Skyrim. Said life was reasonably rough - Cyrodiil was under oppression from the Thalmor, an alliance of elves who had waged war on Cyrodiil and the Empire some years leading up to and during her birth. A treaty was signed that gave the Thalmor to violently enforce laws banning worship of one of the Empire's main pantheon.
She grew up in this environment, and around Nords who spoke highly of their homeland of Skyrim - and how things surely must be better there, for their brothers of their homeland wouldn't take this kind of thing from the Thalmor laying down. In her time growing up, Ginia picked up blacksmithing as a trade, and from other Nords she heard tales of how their smiths are better - including tales of a revered Skyforge, and supposedly how weapons crafted in its flames could bring men to tears with their beauty and quality. Of course, one might count this as a bunch of proud people who spoke well of their country, but it was enough to cause Ginia to consider visiting the place. To see the country for herself, and these supposed great smiths. So she set out, and not long after crossing the border, her trip was cut short by being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Imperial soldiers caught her in an ambush meant for political rebels - the Stormcloaks - Ginia was simply collateral damage. Herself, some Stormcloaks (including their leader, Ulfric), and a horse thief are taken to be executed. One Imperial soldier tries to stick up for her, as she was not involved with the Stormcloaks, but his captain orders Ginia to be executed anyway. After the first execution, a strange sound is heard in the distance. It is questioned, but soon disregarded. Ginia is sent to the chopping block, and from where she lies, she sees the source of the noise before. A large black dragon, who lands on a nearby fort, and sends the execution and the small town into complete chaos.
Ginia takes this as a chance to escape, and is aided in doing so by the soldier who stuck up for her before, Hadvar. He aids her in getting through some of the underground pathways to get away from the dragon, and after escaping, guides her to another small town, Riverwood. There, she meets some family of Hadvar's, and is asked to go to the hold's capital, Whiterun to inform the Jarl of the dragon attacks. Ginia does this, and once that is done, is tasked to retrieve an artifact for the Jarl's court mage. Upon returning with it, it seems there's been a dragon attack in the hold of Whiterun, and Ginia is sent out with some of the Jarl's soldiers to investigate. There, Ginia and the soldiers bring down Mirmulnir, the attacking dragon - not the one Ginia saw before, however. Once the beast is slain and its flesh disintegrates from its very bones, energy whips out from the beast's carcass and into Ginia. It fills her with power - power that allows her to Shout, which startles nearby guards. Some think her the Dragonborn, some do not, and one high-ranking elf dismisses it as merely legends. Unsure of what happened herself, Ginia returns to the Jarl, but upon drawing close to the city, a thunderous sound erupts, shaking everything - it is a voice, bellowing out "DOVAHKIIN!" Upon discussion with the Jarl, it's found out that this is a summoning by a group known as the Greybeards, ancient elders well versed in Shouts and the Voice. They inform Ginia that she is in fact Dragonborn, and give her some basic instruction on the use of the Voice.
From here, Ginia follows the main questline fairly linearly, picking up at "The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller", as the prior paragraphs summarize pre-game events and the first five quests. From here, Ginia learns of the prophecy of Aludin the World Eater's return, and does her part to stop him. During the negotiations in "Season Unending", Ginia tries to offer a balanced and impartial opinion. Elenwen is permitted to remain at the negotiations, the Imperials are given control of The Rift/Riften and Winterhold. The Stormcloaks are compensated for a massacre by the Empire, and given Markarth and The Reach. After this, Ginia is prompted by The Blades that Paarthurnax, the dragon who has aided her in her quest needs to be killed, as they do not trust himl; but Ginia does not do so, having found his wisdom and assistance invaluable.
After Alduin is slain, Ginia joins up with The Companions in Whiterun, and follows their questline, moving up in their ranks, joining The Circle, and eventually curing their former leader's (and her own) lycanthropy. Afterwards, she is named their new Harbinger.
At this point, given the whirlwind of things surrounding what was intended to be a simple visit to Skyrim, Ginia opts to stay - she's become a hero to the land quite by accident, and gotten herself a new home in The Companions' hall, as well as access to the Skyforge she heard so much about prior to coming. After everything quiets down - at least in regards to dragons, as there's still a civil war going on that Ginia wants no part of, she remains the Harbinger of the Companions, and goes on less and less adventures as time goes on. It's during this slowndown that she is taken - thinking her task done, and finally able to relax.

Magic/Mutant/Metahuman/Nonhuman Abilities: Magic is one thing - and it's fairly straightforward fantasy game magic. Learn spells, they use up magic power (Magicka in this setting) when used, magicka regenerates slowly over time. Gina knows a handful of spells from different schools - some basic Destruction magic (fire, frost, and lightning damage in various delivery methods), Alteration magic (Altering things to have different effects), and Restoration magic (Healing, warding, and turning undead). Restoration is her strongest suit in regards to magic, primarily from defending herself and healing injuries. Her magic also allows her to enchant weapons/armor/clothing, but unless there's a way for her to get soul gems and an enchanting table, or someone can teach her a different way, she won't be doing that in-game.
Shouts are magic-like effects, used by invoking words of the dragon language in the right combinations. Tied to this is the ability to absorb the souls of slain dragons - collected dragon souls are used to unlock the words of power after they are located, and the absorption of the dragon's immortal soul keeps it from being resurrected again in the future. Anyone can down a dragon, but the Dragonborn is the only who can truly kill them. Shouts are learned in stages - each has three stages of power, and can be executed in different levels depending on whether one, two, or all three words are used. (Like with Unrelenting Force: just Fus will just make most people stumble backwards, compared to Fus Ro Dah which will knock most oppenents back several feet.) Ginia knows the following shouts at the following levels:
Animal Allegiance - All three levels.
Aura Whisper - All three levels.
Become Ethereal - All three levels.
Clear Skies - All three levels.
Disarm - Two Levels
Dismay - All three levels.
Dragonrend - All three levels.
Elemental Fury - All three levels.
Fire Breath - All three levels.
Frost Breath - All three levels.
Ice Form - All three levels.
Kyne's Peace - All three levels.
Marked For Death - All three levels.
Slow Time - One Level
Storm Call - All three levels.
Throw Voice - All three levels.
Unrelenting Force - All three levels.
Whirlwind Sprint - All three levels.
Brief descriptions are on the main shout page linked above, more detailed ones are on the actual Shout links.
Her preferred weapons are a pair of maces - one enchanted to do fire damage, another to do frost.
Voice of the Emperior - This is a power innate to the Imperial race - it calms people within a 75 foot area to stop fighting. Once-a-day power.
The Steed Stone - A power granted by the Steed Stone - allows Ginia to carry 100 pounds more than normal, worn armor does not affect her speed, and equipped armor feels weightless.
Non-Superhuman Special Abilities of Note: Ginia is a talented blacksmith - she's grown up doing it, and it's her trade of choice when not doing adventure things. She's good, but still has a ways to go. She's also skilled with using light armors, shields, and one-handed weapons (she prefers to dual-wield maces). Also good with a lockpick, but that's more to get at locked things in dungeons.
